Bellacares foundation is a non-government organization promoting equality and social change in Sub-Sahara Africa.  We aspire to improve the lives of women and vulnerable children in Zambia by supporting exceptional services in health and in providing education for child suppoprt. 

Our team is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our focus areas of social development, employing not only our significant expert support but also a rigorous and results-oriented approach to well being. 

Our volunteers strive to remain forward-thinking in every aspect of our work, which includes taking that extra step where others have not. By working with local grass-roots health projects, we have helped to renovate schools as well as  provide family friendly health facilities for health facilities and loving homes for abandoned and orphaned children.

The organisation does not discriminate against people on grounds of sex, race, disability or religion. 

The foundation was set up to meet  the following specific objects: 

1. To mobilize resources and establish educational opportunities for vulnerable children 
2. To ensure that children are safe, healthy and protected at home, in schools and in communities
3. To facilitate the rehabilitation of traumatized children through sports, music, dance, and drama
4. To support community-led initiatives with focus on using sustainable technologies to enhance development
5. To build capacity and sensitize children and communities on sexual reproductive health, rights and other preventable viral illnesses like HIV and chronic hepatitis.

The Bellacares foundation also focuses on long-term projects rather than temporary relief efforts, to ensure we give our Zambian communities a long term solution to their problems, rather than just handout. 

Our sustainable social development projects continue to shape hope for communities, where we provide them with facilities that make a difference for service providers in health and education.

We owe most of our success to our programme partners who are our heroes in doing all the hard work which sometimes is in the most difficult of circumstances driven by a common objective, our team simply make it happen. 

We wish to say thanks to our amazing supporters around the world that we are able to help and continue to transorm health services in Zambia through our foundation. 

We are committed to close and productive partnerships with volunteers and all our donor funds go directly into our projects with no personal fees or administration fees are deducted.
